Emergency repair
Burst pipes, sewage backup, no heat in January, no AC in July. A tech dispatched now, not a callback window.
Plumbing · Heating · Cooling · Halstead
Second-generation plumbing and HVAC, twelve techs, and a written flat-rate quote before a tool comes out. The phone gets answered by a person, including at 2am.
Emergency right now? Same number, day or night. Smell gas? Leave the house first, then call. Two-minute guide below.
Services
Water in, water out, heat in winter, cold in summer. If it involves pipes, burners, or refrigerant, our twelve techs do it weekly.
Burst pipes, sewage backup, no heat in January, no AC in July. A tech dispatched now, not a callback window.
Blocked drains cleared, leaks found and fixed at the source. Camera inspection when the same clog keeps coming back.
Repaired same-day where possible. Replacements quoted flat, tank or tankless, usually installed within 24 hours.
Furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, central air. Repairs first when repair makes sense; replacements sized by math, not habit.
Two seasonal tune-ups a year and first place in line when the weather turns. The whole deal is one card, below.
The maintenance plan
Most emergencies we see were quiet problems for months first. The plan exists so we catch them in October, not at midnight in February.
Cancel anytime. If we miss a seasonal tune-up, the next year is free.
How pricing works
The visit fee buys a real diagnosis, not a sales pitch. Go ahead with the repair and the $89 comes off the bill.
You approve a written number before a tool comes out. If the job runs long, that is our problem. The quote holds.
Members pay the day rate at 2am. Everyone else hears the after-hours rate on the phone, before a van ever rolls.
While you wait
The five minutes before the van arrives matter more than the fifty after. Three things to know tonight, not during the flood.
Every first visit ends with the tech walking you to your shutoff and labeling it.
Almost always where the main enters the house: the front basement wall, a crawl space, or a box near the meter. Turn it clockwise until it stops.
Go find it today, while nothing is wrong; a burst line dumps ten gallons a minute.
A rotten-egg smell, hissing near the meter, or several pilot lights out at once. Do not flip switches, light anything, or start a fan.
Leave first, call the gas utility from outside, then us.
Sewage rising in more than one drain, water reaching outlets or the panel, or a gas smell getting stronger instead of weaker.
Houses are fixable. Take the pets, stand in the yard, call from there.
The crew
Sal Ferro started Manifold as a one-van shop in 1989; his daughter Dee runs the twelve of us now. Half the crew has been here over eight years, and it shows.
